Why did you build a website?
My occupation involved visiting areas all across West, Mid and South Wales. I also spent many years travelling most of Wales in my Camper van. After I retired I thought it would be great to share my travels to some of the most beautiful parts of Wales with prospective tourists. My website features Beaches, also beach advice for dog owners, castles, places to take the kids, gardens, etc. I also give advice to visitors.
What do you like best about your website?
It gives me a reason to get out and about with my camera and also to update any locations. I love helping people all across the globe to find the best places to stay when visiting South Wales, and in fact have met quite a few tourists who wished to meet me and thank me for making their stay enjoyable.
What is your best website building tip?
Keep it simple, not too much text, choose your text, and background colours so that they are east to read. I have seen sites with pale yellow text on white backgrounds, very difficult to read, as you will probably see on website address above, visitors will not stay long on those sites ! Good navigation menu.
